So it's official: the next opus of Diary will jump to the fourth novel. The film is indeed titled Diary of a Wimpy Kid Dog Days. Here's a first official picture of Diary of a Wimpy Kid 3 Dog Days:

Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2 hasn't hit theaters yet, but judging from the trailers that have been released so far, the sequel is going to be as funny as the first film. So I'm not really surprised to hear that they're already planning a Diary of a Wimpy Kid 3 movie. Actor Devon Bostick who plays Rodrick, Greg's brother, spilled the beans during an interview with Cinema Blend, saying that he's 90% sure that Diary of a Wimpy kid 3 will happen.
From what I saw in the trailers it looks like the second film borrows elements from both the second and third novels. So will Diary of Wimpy 3 still follow the order and be titled "The last straw" or will the movie franchise jump to the fourth novel and be titled "Dog Days" or will the film be based on some other later opus? What would you prefer?
Anyway, more information about the movie Diary of a Wimpy Kid 3 as soon as details emerge online!
